What is a sticky dog?

A sticky dog will often lock up and stare at the cattle when working . It maybe laying down or standing. In severe cases the dog might have to have his concentration broken by the owner shouting or using a training collar just to free him up so he will go back to work. Being sticky is not generally considered a desired trait in a cowdog.
